Definitely worth the money. We are proud family owners of 3 of these. Easy to secure. Great head support & easy to take in & out of automobiles. The cup holders are toy, socks, or shoes holders for right now. I love the fact as baby grows this has the ability to be changed for their age, weight, height & will be used for many years.

Overall, this is a pretty good quality car seat. Two minor issues that really caused some problems: First, the instructions claim that the seat should be forward-facing if the kid weighs more than 22 pounds. But California laws say that a kid can’t face forward until he’s two years old. It doesn’t make sense, because our kid is 15 months and a healthy 32 pounds. Physical law would indicate this as a no-brainer: he’s too large to face backward. So now we’re faced with not using it until the kid is 2, otherwise his mother is going to throw a fit. 😀
The other issue is that the anchor belt is way too short to hook into all cars. Certainly was too short for the anchor links in our small sedan back seat. That leaves the “seat belt” option, where a seat belt has to be threaded through the back of the seat. I would have preferred the anchors, but the belt’s maximum length was a good five inches too short expanded to full length.

Graco quality is the best. Dual install options and good fit for baby with many adjustment options. Come apart to clean too which is not common for car seats.

We love this car seat, very nice cushions, padding and design. However the booklet instructions it comes with seem over complicated. We had to watch an installation video from someone on YouTube because the booklet reads like gibberish (or we’re just dumb?), it took us an hour to try to install it when trying to follow booklet instructions. It was installed in 10 minutes once we watched a video. The hardest part was getting the seatbelt harness buckled through both sides of the seat, I definitely needed my husband for this job and he struggled to get both sides buckled. Once installed, the car seat feels rock solid after we both tried to yank on it, and our little boy falls asleep on every car ride! Win win!

Mi hija renegaba de su sillita pasada pues se sentia incómoda, al grado de que mi esposa terminaba por sacarla de ahi y prefería llevarsela en las piernas pues mi gordita no dejaba de llorar; asi que pensé que era momento de adquirir una sillita mas comoda( la que teniamos, era de su hermano que le lleva algunos años a mi gorda) y me decanté por esta GRACO 4ever DLX, gracias a las buenas reseñas que lei a cerca de esta sillita y de verdad que fue una muy buena compra. Mi gordita va segura y muy cómoda y sobretodo, va agusto y por si fuera poco el sistema latch hace que sea muy sencillo instalarla en el auto… Una excelente compra…

My kid has been using the Doona for the first 13 months of his life, and while they are rated for 40+lbs, it was getting pretty cramped for his 25lb self. This seat gives him plenty of room to wiggle about, while also keeping him safe and comfortable enough to fall asleep for long periods on road trips. I have zero complaints.

Update: Months into forward-facing mode, everything still functions like day one. Clean lines, tight fit, no issues. If you want to buy once and be done, this is the seat.
If you’re looking for one seat to do it all — from newborn to booster — Graco delivers. My little boy just transitioned from rear-facing to forward-facing, and the switch was smooth and straightforward. No wrestling with straps, no confusing steps — it just works.
My son actually prefers it without the extra infant pads, which is probably for the best since he manages to spill just about anything meant for his mouth directly onto the seat. Fortunately, it’s easy to wipe clean. The material handles real-life messes — snacks, drinks, and whatever else toddlers decide to throw at it — without staining or soaking in.
The harness system adjusts cleanly, and the build feels rock solid. Once installed, it doesn’t shift or rattle — it stays planted. It’s heavy, but in a reassuring way. Like it’s doing what it’s supposed to: keep you kid safe!
