So far so good. It took me a while to get used to all the features on the app, but I managed. It’s very nice to be able to pull up to my ball and know exactly what I need to use without messing around with my old range finder. I have found that the magnet sticks firmly to my golf cart and have had no issues with it falling off or even sliding. So far I’m a big fan!

This was a gift for my husband for Christmas. He loved it so much. Amazon had an amazing sale compared to local sports stores. He said it was easy to use with many useful features. The screen was nice and clear and the device was light weight and easy to carry.

This golf GPS is well designed. Provides a larger than normal display. Fits seamlessly into the palm of you had. The touch screen is simple and effective at controlling the devices features. An excellent product.

Le produit est super… mais après 2 utilisations, il refuse de s’allumer… l’écran affiche « Ringer » 2 secondes et s’éteint tout de suite après… Je l’ai rechargé mais ça ne change rien.
Dommage…

I purchased this item and spent considerable money to acquire it. 5 months later it stopped working. I contacted the company as required by Blue Tees. It has a 2 year warranty and after some back and forth I was told it couldn’t be replaced but offered 30 percent discount on the purchase of a new one. Who would do that and who would trust this company’s products?

For the past four seasons I’ve been using the app Hole 19. My yearly subscription finally came to an end so I decided to look for alternatives to having to type my password in my phone after trying to Face ID while rolling around the course. I opted to go with the Blue Tees Ringer as it seemed promising for distances, shot tracking, and scoring.
My feedback regarding the device:
1. I noticed in the adverts that the Ringer was showing a green colored screen. I reached out prior to purchase asking if that was standard as all the videos showed a black green. I was told the new firmware gave the green coloring. Upon receiving the device and pairing it, the only updates available were course updates and no firmware update options. With that being said, no color green.
2. The advertising says super strong magnet. The ringer does not have a viewfinder strength magnet nor a super strong magnet. Clipping it on the canopy upright on my Yamaha Drive 2 cart and the magnet strength is about a 3 out of 10. For comparison, my hand held view finder darn near needs a pry bar. The other issue is the magnet is in the center of the device, and the push button is located on the bottom of the display. The magnet does not extend down to support pushing the button which means you need to slightly hold the device when pushing the button. So add in the risk of the device dropping off the canopy bar if you’re not careful. That prevented me from keeping it on the cart and letting other family members use it as I didn’t want to risk dropping or losing it. And frankly my pocket is already got a spare ball, ball marker, divot tool and tees, so the recommendation from the mfg of it being small footprint to put in the pocket is moot. Who wants more stuff in your pocket.
3. Screen functionality can be glitchy at times. Scrolling between holes by pressing the hole number sometimes moves, sometimes not. So a little more fumbling. It would be nice to be able to decide what screens you want and don’t want. I don’t need it to control music so why can’t I turn that screen off so it’s not in my way navigating the unit?
4. Tonight I decided I’m just going to return the device and look for something else. I’m not sure what the deal was but it took me a solid 30 minutes trying to get it paired to the iOS app. I finally deleted the app, reinstalled it and got it to pair. Now I’d like to reset it and when you go into the settings to reset the device (something you can’t do in the settings of the app), there is a reset icon. You can press that till the cows come home and it does nothing. There doesn’t appear to be anyway to get the device to reset. Half the time when clicking on the reset it just jumps back to the nearby course selection screen.
5. Now as I type this review, the unit is being finicky powering on. I’ve had it plugged in and battery state shows 75% (note battery is measured in 25/50/75/100% increments). Press power to turn on, display lights up to the Ringer logo and right back off.
Aside from the magnet related issue, maybe I just received a glitchy unit so your mileage may vary. Back to the drawing board.

I’ll start with saying that I would recommend the Blue Tees Ringer GPS.
Super accurate GPS (was spot on when compared with Bushnell v4 rangefinder and USGA GHIN GPS). Love the size and various distances I was able to get at the swipe of the screen. Really helpful to see the distances to various hazards, plus front, middle and back of greens as well. Didn’t hold up play at all as it updated quickly as I walked to each next shot. Speaking of which, helpful to be able to track distances of shots as I played the hole (when you are walking) so I can learn club distances. Also the graphics on the app were fantastic including the hole flyovers!
Some other miscellaneous things: I would take the time to review the online manual. Admittedly didn’t do that before my first round with it and I missed out on some neat features as I was trying to learn as I played. I have seen some other reviews about charging but don’t be fooled…comes 75% charged and charges very quickly. Used it in sunny and cloudy weather and performed well in both. It did take a bit longer to sync on the cloudy day but (only talking a couple min longer) but once synced there were no issues. Also, automatically finds the course you are playing which is GREAT (with the USGA GHIN app I have to find the course then it takes some time to upload).
The only challenge I had was when connected to my phone via Bluetooth, it drained the phone battery significantly. Could be an issue if you’re using things like Golf Genius or USGA GHIN apps to track scores, etc in club tournaments. But you can use it without the Bluetooth connection and still get the benefits of this great device.

The Blue Tees Golf Ringer Magnetic Golf GPS handheld Water-Resistant Golf Distance Range Finder is a great product. It was easy to set up and once you get to the golf course you just turn it on, and the GPS loads the golf course, and you are on your way to a great round of golf. My husband loves it!
