I ordered the 150 gallon Rubbermaid Stock Tank since I could purchase it cheaper than the 100 gallon version at the time of my order. I must say the thing is SOLID! I was leery after reading the review by Ken Preston regarding the inability to drain the water away as the drain plug is not a standard size. I was happy to find out that the drain plug is threaded on the outside AND the inside! (Possibly a change made after 2017?) The interior female part of the drain takes a 1 1/4 inch male fitting perfectly. I purchased an adaptor to size down from 1 1/4 inches to 3/4 inch. It worked perfectly! I then attached a ball valve and a hose adapter. Now I can attach my 3/4 inch garden hose and drain my tank far from where it sits. All parts were easy to find at my local Home Depot.

The setup works great for me! I am very happy with the quality of the tank, the delivery time, and the additional cover I purchased to keep my tank from gathering leaves from my neighbors trees. At my height (5’9″) I can sit in the tank and straighten my legs. The slope of the tank makes it comfortable to sit upright while leaning back on the tank wall. I would definitely recommend this tank for anyone looking for a sturdy tank for any number of uses.

Had had a 100 gallon Rubbermaid tank for about 35 years before it developed a leak. It took a beating from a multitude of horses and weather conditions. Still in use, but not for water. A superior product in my opinion as a professional Horseman. Good investment. This new tank will outlive me.

Hillbilly hot tub! This thing is bigger than it looks in the pics. I am a 250 pound man, and my lady fits in too on the other side just fine. Comes up to my neck seated. Easy to move around when empty. The drain plug finger tightens and loosens easy. Looks indestructible. No sharp edges like on those metal galvanized ones too. Way better than I expected. You can get a 10 foot cover for it here on Amazon too… if there’s a little sun it will heat it up some. Good soak in the back yard!

I’m using this for a mini goldfish pond. I had my fish in a 12,000 gallon pond. We moved so had to drain it. I’m using this for an indoor pond (concrete floor basement). Works great and hasn’t leaked.

Sturdy and bigger than I expected

This stock tank was sturdy and heavy duty. When filled with water it does not bulge out. I ordered 2 of the 150 gallon tanks and received one 100 gallon tank. I’ve been waiting a month for the second tank to arrive to see what size I get.
