Normally Dewalt stuff is over priced. $200 for these feels great. We use them every weekend and have no problems so far. Just make sure you have batteries. Continuous use for the weed eater is about 20-25minutes on the fat batteries. 15 minutes for the blower.

Overall satisfied with the performance vs price paid for this combo purchase (trimmer and leaf blower). I did purchase a bigger 5.0Ah battery to complement the 4.0Ah and we usually end up running the 5.0Ah in the leaf blower and 4.0Ah in the Trimmer.
However, the blower still doesn’t last as long as it should (imo), even with the 5.0Ah, hence the 1 Star deduction – Dewalt should state that a large capacity battery be used, we have yet to complete minor leaf blowing tasks without having the recharge it. We use it intermittently for tight spaces / corners and then switch to our gas powered backpack blower for the real work. The point is, it doesn’t last around a typical USA house and getting the leaves and such blown out enough. The trimmer is fine – impressive power and lasts the duration of typical trimming needs (your mileage may vary).
Summary – quite satisfied and would buy again – with a larger battery!

I bought this set as I am already on the DeWalt battery system and did not want to continue using gas equipment for my yard. The trimmer works excellent and is a good weight to prevent straining. The blower works great, but goes through batteries quickly. It’s not a problem for me because I have a bunch of batteries, but it is something to consider if this is your first DeWalt set. Overall, I would highly recommend this set for its value and durability.

Good product, work as expected with the strength it set for but only one problem is the charger won’t charge my battery properly both 4ah xr my solution was to simply use my other charger and problem fixed ( I realized the dcb112 only deliver 2ah of output but my dcb1104 deliver 4ah for the exact same battery from other kit)

Very surprised at the power! I only used up one battery for my whole yard, one acre. I used the 5 battery pack. The one that comes with it worked well also, used the 4 battery pack at cottage. No noise for my neighbours, great investment, no gas smell in my garage. Excellent choice!!

I’ve used DEWALT construction tools corded & cordless for 30+yrs and never had any complaints at all. However this trimmer has flaws designed & built right into the machine. You can’t cut any tall grass at ground level and just lay it down without it wrapping around the shaft just above the spool for the string and you have to constantly stop and remove it or it puts a constant bind on the motor which will overheat the motor and reduce battery run time if it lasts long enough to run a battery down. If this wasn’t bad enough there’s more. The trimmer throws so much grass clippings at the user you’re covered from the bottom of your shorts to the top of your shoes and throwing all the clippings and debris everywhere also covers the air vents on top of the electric motor housing so the motor can’t even cool itself properly. My rechargeable toro trimmer lasted 25yrs without any of these issues except getting some clippings on the cooling vents but nothing like this DEWALT and brushing the housing for 10 seconds before I started each time was all it took but this DEWALT I don’t think you could clean it 5 times an hour and make it last. If I make it thru this one summer with this trimmer knowing it’s problems and I’m already doing more to try and get thru this year with this trimmer than I did to my toro in 25yrs. If I finish the year with this DEWALT I’ll be shocked & amazed and every time I’ve used it I want to run it over with my truck and get rid of it. I hope whoever designed this trimmer lost his or her job because it’s designed absolutely terrible.
