Updated my MB recently so I could run a newer ryzen as my 2700x was bottlenecking pretty hard. Works pretty well, only downside being the pins on the connecter for the USBs on the front of my case are a tad bent, but there’s more than enough ports on the back to run everything, so not really too big of an issue for me.

The GIGABYTE X870 Gaming WIFI6 motherboard has exceeded my expectations in many ways. Overall performance is exceptional, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement compared to my previous setup.
What I love:
* Outstanding performance: The motherboard has proven to be very stable, even when running demanding tasks.
* Abundant connectivity: The multiple USB ports and M.2 slots offer great flexibility for connecting all my devices.
* Quality design and build: The motherboard has a solid and well-built look, which inspires confidence.
Why I’m not giving it 5 stars:
While I’m very happy with this motherboard, there are two aspects I think could be improved:
* WiFi 6: Although WiFi 6 is a fast and reliable technology, it would have been great to see WiFi 7 compatibility to be future-proof.
* 5 GbE Ethernet: A 5 GbE Ethernet port would have been a perfect complement to take full advantage…
In conclusion, the GIGABYTE X870 Gaming WIFI6 is an excellent choice for those looking for a high-quality motherboard in a great price. However, the lack of WiFi 7 and a 5 GbE Ethernet port are notable omissions that could be considered for future models. Despite this, I highly recommend it to any computer enthusiast.

Worked great for my new 9800X3D build + 32GB of Corsair Vengeance CL30 6000MHz XMP profile. Didn’t have to flash the BIOS to recognize anything, but I did flash it anyways. It also booted right into Windows 10 before I even had a chance to reformat my SSD and reinstall Windows (but I did anyway)
Been running for a few weeks without any problems.
Note: I put a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE and a XFX 6700 XT GPU, and there is less than 1/4″ between the CPU fan and the GPU, so it just barely fits. If you have a CPU fan that has a larger base than mine, it may not fit.

Got it, installed my new 9900X and G.skill flare Xs 96gb DDR5 with it
Swapped over all my old drives. These new power connectors are kind of confusing and the manual doesn’t help at all but I eventually figured it out.
Didn’t boot. RAM light.
check online, says it wants B slots if only using two sticks of ram, not A1 and A2.
Swap sticks, boots immediately. Set boot drive and RAM speed profile.
Immediately boots to login like my old computer.
Wifi isn’t working.
Update bios, use USB-C internet sharing with my phone to download wifi drivers.
Wifi starts working.
Decent number of IO, strong GPU pcie slot, plenty of space between CPU cooler and RAM, WIFI is working perfectly as my old one did at 250mbps.
What more could you want? It works. Been video editing, 3D modeling, gaming, not a single issue in any of these. Motherboards don’t get much attention because they don’t do much, they ALLOW you to install other components that do much. This one works. Solid price for the chipset too.

Board has power management issues and has fried 2 different hard drives across 2 separate high-end power supplies. I don’t trust this low-end board.

install your ram according to the motherboard manual online otherwise u will have to reset bios with cmos reseat the ram and then u will be able to use XMP lol other then that used it in my first pc build its great

the ease of removing the GPU and NVME made me wonder why i have never seen this before, it seems so convenient now that I have used it that i will make sure my next build has the same features, i broke the PCIe x16 clip off of my last MB after reinstalling GPUs a few times this is amazing!
the 9xxx series can be overclocked very easily with pre-made settings in the BIOS that are AMD approved and don’t void your warranty.
docked 1 star for the wifi antenna being proprietary. my case blocks the signal from the router, I had to rearrange my desk to make it work

This motherboard worked right out of the box with my 9800x3d without having to update the bios or anything to get it going. Every part was recognized and everything is running smoothly in my new gaming build. It did everything I needed it to do and the price was pretty good. I would definitely order GIGABYTE again in the future. Super pleased with the motherboard!

Has great I/O, bios is simple, setup was a breeze. Boots pretty quickly. No issues yet! I use wired internet so I had no reason to go for the more expensive wifi7 motherboard.
